Rail Service Restored After Paoli Station Fire and Explosion

PAOLI, PA — A fire and explosion involving two SEPTA rail cars at Paoli Station late Tuesday night temporarily halted regional rail service but resulted in no passenger injuries. The incident, which occurred around 11 p.m., severely damaged the unoccupied cars and sent a train conductor to the hospital for smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also treated on-site. Fire crews from three counties brought the blaze under control by midnight, despite obstacles such as a damaged hydrant line. Train service resumed by 4 a.m. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause.

Uwchlan Township Launches Survey on Future of Local Parks

UWCHLAN TWP — Uwchlan Township is inviting residents to help shape the future of its recreational spaces by participating in a new public survey. The township is exploring improvements to Lionville Park, a long-standing hub for local sports, and is also in the early stages of planning a brand-new park at the undeveloped Rossi Property.
