Regional Transportation Plan Open for Public Review
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission has opened public comment on its draft Update: Connections 2050, the region’s long-term transportation and infrastructure plan. The proposal maps out investments through 2050 and includes a major milestone: full funding for the Circuit Trails network. It also emphasizes safety, environmental sustainability, and community input. Two public meetings—in Mullica Hill and Philadelphia—will be held in early August. Comments can be submitted online or by mail until August 20. The final plan will be considered for adoption in September.
Groundbreaking Ceremony to Launch Revitalization of Coatesville’s Ash Park

COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville will host a public groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of Ash Park on July 28. The park, nearly 100 years old and spanning over nine acres, is receiving a comprehensive upgrade thanks to a collaborative effort between the city, conservation group Natural Lands, and a coalition of government and community partners. Funding comes from state and federal sources and will include new amenities such as a water feature.
West Pikeland Seeks Public Input on Outdoor Burning Ordinance

WEST PIKELAND TWP — Residents of West Pikeland Township are invited to comment on a proposed ordinance that would regulate outdoor burning in the community. The draft law, Ordinance 2025-XX, is currently under review, with township officials welcoming public input through July 31.
