Dangerous Heat Puts Eastern Pennsylvania on Alert Through Wednesday

Eastern Pennsylvania is in the grip of an extreme heat wave, with temperatures hovering around 100 degrees and high humidity pushing heat index values even higher. A heat warning from the National Weather Service is in place through Wednesday. Overnight temperatures are providing little relief, remaining in the mid to upper 70s. Residents are being advised to take precautions, particularly the elderly, children, and those with health conditions. Cases of heat-related illnesses have been on the rise, with medical experts urging the public to stay indoors, hydrate, and monitor signs of dehydration and heat stroke. Local resources, including the 211 helpline, are available to assist those in need of shelter or cooling.

Chester County Protest Attender Amassed Weapons Cache, But Chesco DA Claims no Motive

WEST CHESTER, PA — Kevin Krebs, 31, was arrested earlier this month near a protest rally in West Chester for carrying a concealed handgun without a license. A later search of his home revealed 13 homemade explosives, 21 firearms, and equipment for manufacturing weapons, including 3D-printed parts. Despite multiple alleged social media posts, Chester County DA, Chris de Barrena-Sarobe has found no political motive linked to Krebs’ actions and say no manifesto or plans for terrorism have been discovered. The investigation continues to determine whether his behavior may have constituted a thwarted act of domestic terrorism. Krebs remains in custody without bail and faces multiple felony charges.
