Dowlin Forge Bridge to Close for Emergency Repairs Wednesday

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Commuters in the Downingtown area should prepare for travel delays on Wednesday, May 14, as the Dowlin Forge Bridge will be temporarily closed for emergency repairs by PennDOT. The closure affects traffic throughout the day, with detours posted along Shelmire Road and Dorlan Mill Road.

While the morning school bus schedule will not be affected, afternoon routes will be adjusted to account for the detour. Local officials recommend allowing extra time for commutes and urge drivers to use caution while navigating the alternate routes.

City of Coatesville Opens Bidding for East End Community Project

COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville has issued a request for proposals from nonprofit organizations to lead the redevelopment of the Coatesville Memorial Community Center. The project, located at 99 9th Avenue in the city’s east end, seeks to revitalize the public service-zoned property through strategic planning and new construction.
