Waterlilies Return to Longwood Gardens After Three-Year Absence

KENNET SQUARE, PA — After three years of renovation, Longwood Gardens is reopening its Waterlily Court on May 9, just in time for the launch of its summer-long Festival of Fountains. Redesigned as part of the Longwood Reimagined initiative, the revitalized court features a collection of nearly 100 aquatic plant varieties and new architectural elements. Standout specimens include the famed Victoria ‘Longwood Hybrid’ and a rare yellow waterlily acquired from Tanzania. The exhibit will remain in peak bloom through early October, offering a vibrant focal point for visitors throughout the season.

TMACC’s Bike to Work Challenge Returns with Ride and Rewards

EXTON, PA — On May 15, TMACC and Foundation FIT will host their 14th annual Bike to Work Challenge, encouraging Chester County residents to celebrate cycling and sustainable commuting. The event features a five-mile ride along the Chester Valley Trail with a concluding breakfast and awards ceremony at Cedar Hollow Park. As part of the challenge, companies will vie for the Bike Taxidermy Trophy, with categories for both large and small employers. Participants are also invited to track their rides using the AgileMile platform throughout the month, with opportunities to win prizes for biking, carpooling, and reducing single-driver trips.

Eagles’ Tanner McKee Inspires Downingtown Students with Visit
