West Chester Railroad Offers One More Day of Bunny-Themed Fun

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Easter Bunny is making a final round through Chester County this weekend aboard the West Chester Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express. After a successful series of rides last weekend, the family-friendly event is set to run again on Saturday, April 19, with three scheduled departures at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Passengers can expect a blend of scenic views and springtime fun, including a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. Hosted with support from Birthday Buddies Inc., the event is designed to offer a memorable and joyful experience for children and their families. Tickets are still available through the railroad’s official website.

Community Cleanup Day Moved to April 26 in Caln Township

CALN TWP — Caln Township’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced that its scheduled community cleanup event, originally set for April 12, will now take place on April 26 due to anticipated poor weather conditions. The cleanup is part of the township’s ongoing Clean Up Crew initiative, a volunteer-based program focused on litter removal throughout the year.

Residents are encouraged to participate by joining crews at designated locations, where they’ll find signs and cleanup leaders ready to organize the effort. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather and terrain, as many locations have narrow shoulders or uneven ground. Safety flaggers will be present to manage traffic in busier areas.

The township also offers a Clean Up Crew Recognition Program that rewards repeat participants with branded merchandise and other incentives, as a way to thank the community for its support.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has announced that an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities have yet to disclose further information about the incident, and East Lampeter police did not provide comment as of Friday.
