East Brandywine Raising Support for All-Abilities Playground Project

EAST BRANDYWINE TWP — East Brandywine Township is working to build an all-abilities playground, replacing the existing one at the park’s south entrance. The project aims to create an inclusive space where children of all abilities can play together. The Parks and Recreation Committee is actively seeking grants and community contributions to bring the vision to life. More info and donate here

Annual ‘Fore the Park’ Golf Event to Benefit All-Abilities Playground

EAST BRANDYWINE TWP — The annual “Fore the Park” Golf Outing will take place on May 14 at Honey Brook Golf Club, with proceeds supporting the construction of an all-abilities playground slated for 2026. The event features an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, with prizes awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, and the top foursome.

Following the tournament, golfers will gather for lunch, where desserts and beverages will be served. Beyond the game, the outing provides an opportunity for local businesses and individuals to contribute through sponsorships or prize donations.

Keynote Speakers and Expert Panels Highlight Collaborative Real Estate Summit

The Collaborative Real Estate Summit 2025 is set to take place on March 26 in King of Prussia, offering a day of industry insights, networking, and education for real estate professionals. Featuring high-profile speakers such as Tony Giordano and Steve Meyer, the event will cover topics ranging from cutting-edge marketing techniques to investment strategies and capital raising.

Designed for agents, investors, and business leaders, the summit offers three learning tracks tailored to different aspects of the industry. Attendees can gain insights into sales pipeline management, property valuation, financing solutions, and investor relations. The event will also feature a post-summit networking happy hour, providing additional opportunities to connect with industry leaders and potential partners.

With an impressive lineup of speakers and a comprehensive agenda, the summit aims to equip real estate professionals with the tools to stay ahead in an evolving market. Registration and sponsorship opportunities remain open for those looking to engage with key decision-makers in the field.

Chester County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New Deputies, Recognizes Promotions

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Sheriff’s Office swore in new deputies, recognized a promotion, and honored a retiring K-9 during a recent ceremony. The event followed praise from the District Attorney’s Office for the department’s hiring efforts, which brought 42 new members to the force. The Sheriff’s Office continues to focus on recruitment, professional development, and public safety.

A Greener Future: Goodwill’s New Initiative Helps Residents Recycle Electronics

THORNDALE, PA — Goodwill Keystone Area, in collaboration with Reworld, has launched a free e-waste recycling program for residents of southeastern Pennsylvania. The initiative allows people to drop off electronic waste—including televisions, computers, and other outdated devices—at designated Goodwill locations for proper recycling.

Electronic waste contains hazardous materials that, if not handled correctly, can harm the environment. By offering this service, Goodwill and Reworld are ensuring these items are disposed of safely while helping residents clear out unwanted electronics at no cost.
