PennDOT Launches Pothole Repairs Across Chester County

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — PennDOT is conducting widespread pothole repairs across Chester County this week, targeting key highways such as Routes 1, 30, 202, and Route 100. The effort is part of a larger regional initiative to address road damage from fluctuating winter temperatures. Crews will be working across multiple townships, and all repairs are subject to weather conditions. Drivers should anticipate potential slowdowns and are reminded to exercise caution near work zones.
Expect Delays: Route 100 Southbound Lane to Close for Repairs

EXTON, PA — From March 15 through March 17, a southbound right lane on Route 100 in Uwchlan Township will be closed for a sanitary sewer pipe replacement, pending weather conditions. The affected stretch runs between Marchwood Road and Township Line Road. While local road and driveway access won’t be restricted, drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and exercise caution through the work zone.
Caln Township Invites Residents to Aid in Waterway Protection

CALN TWP — This Saturday, Caln Township is organizing a Riparian Buffer Maintenance Day, calling on volunteers to assist in preserving the vegetative buffers that help shield waterways from pollutants. These buffers are essential for maintaining water quality and supporting local wildlife. The event offers an opportunity for residents to contribute to environmental conservation efforts in their community. Those interested can register online to participate.
Longer Days, More Time Outdoors: County Parks Open Until 7:30 PM

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — As daylight saving time begins, Chester County parks have extended their hours and will now close at 7:30 p.m. The change gives residents and visitors additional time to explore trails, enjoy nature, and participate in outdoor recreation. The parks are open every day except Christmas, providing year-round access to the county’s green spaces.
