Local Artist Captures Eagles' Super Bowl Moment in Commemorative Artwork

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — As the Philadelphia Eagles secured a commanding 40-22 Super Bowl victory, Downingtown-based artist Richard Mitchell was finalizing a celebratory artwork he had started before the game. Having previously received strong reactions to a LOVE statue-inspired piece, he wanted to create something that captured the excitement of the Eagles' championship run.

Despite the uncertainty of the game’s outcome, Mitchell committed to the word “Champions” in his design. After the Eagles’ win, he refined the piece, incorporating the final score, a Super Bowl trophy, and a color palette paying homage to New Orleans, the host city.

Mitchell is now offering limited edition prints along with merchandise such as coffee mugs, decorative pillows, and metal coasters. Fans can purchase these items through his website, richmitchellcreative.com, as a keepsake of the team’s memorable victory.
