Easttown Township Police Save Two Dogs from Frozen Waters
EASTTOWN TWP — Last Friday, officers in Easttown Township, Chester County, undertook a swift and heroic effort to rescue two dogs stranded on a frozen pond near Wesbrook Road. Body camera footage shows how the officers stepped into the icy water, carefully maneuvering to reach the animals and ensure their safe return to shore. Though neither dog appeared injured, authorities are reminding pet owners to remain vigilant around frozen bodies of water, as sudden drops in temperature may not be enough to create secure ice conditions.Share the newsletter
Community Rallies with Donations After Fatal Chester County Crash
ATGLEN, PA — A community fundraising effort has gathered tens of thousands of dollars for the family of a 30-year-old Atglen mother who lost her life late Friday in a collision at Route 1 and Interstate 476 in Marple Township. She was riding in the rear seat of a vehicle whose driver allegedly ran a red light and was struck by a pickup truck. According to investigators, the driver may have been distracted by a cellphone when the crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. Although another passenger survived after being extricated from the car, authorities have not identified the individuals involved or announced any charges. A standout athlete at West Chester University, the victim leaves behind her husband and two young children. The family will receive friends and loved ones at a viewing and funeral service scheduled for Monday in West Chester. Find the GoFundme page here
County Commissioners Approves Blueprint for Expansive Trail Network

Supported by a state grant, the plan offers design guidelines, funding strategies, and community-focused recommendations to enhance active transportation opportunities. Officials hope the newly formalized approach will bring safer, more accessible trails to all county residents. More info on the plan available at their website
