Silver Is Up 402% Since 2020. Gold, 186%

Silver has more than doubled gold's return since March 2020, even after a 53% correction from its January peak.

Our research team sees a familiar pattern. Silver's returns more than doubled gold's from 1974 to 1987. After the financial crisis, silver beat gold five-fold in three years.

The reason is size. In 2025, investors put about $15.6 billion into physical silver and silver ETFs, against $111.2 billion for gold. Small inflows move silver hard.

Silver is also in its sixth straight annual supply deficit. The Ultimate Silver Playbook explains what the team expects next. It's free.

15-Year-Old to Be Tried as an Adult in Coatesville Shooting of 14-Year-Old

COATESVILLE, PA — A 15-year-old accused of shooting a 14-year-old in Coatesville on Tuesday evening will be prosecuted as an adult, according to police.

Detectives said 11 rounds were fired shortly after 6 p.m. near East Chestnut Street and North Eighth Avenue. The victim, found a block away on East Diamond Street with a gunshot wound to the torso, was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he remains in fair condition and is expected to recover.

Police identified the suspected shooter as Zaid-An Butcher, 15, charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other offenses. He allegedly fled with Jonah Riggs, 18, who was charged with carrying a firearm without a license. Officers found their vehicle about an hour later at the King of Prussia Mall and arrested both. Neither posted bail.

Downingtown Plants a Meadow for Birds, Bees and Butterflies

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Downingtown Borough is converting sections of unused lawn at Samuel Tabas Park into a native meadow, aiming to boost the park’s ecological value while reducing maintenance.

Officials said the meadow will provide food and shelter for birds, butterflies and other pollinators, and can help reduce stormwater runoff and soil erosion while improving water quality. Only lawn areas not used for active recreation are included.

The project unfolds in phases. A contractor will first clear the existing turf, which may temporarily alter the look of those areas. This fall, crews will drill seed into the soil, using the dead grass as natural mulch. Native grasses and flowering perennials are expected to appear in spring 2027, with blooms changing throughout the season.

Eagle Scout Candidate Plans Shoreline Restoration at Marsh Creek State Park

MARSH CREEK STATE PARK — Eagle Scout candidate Abhi Vadiguri of Troop 216 is planning a shoreline restoration project at Marsh Creek State Park, and the park is asking the community to help fund it.

Abhi plans to plant a riparian buffer, a strip of native vegetation along the water’s edge, near Park Road. These buffers filter runoff, stabilize soil to reduce erosion and provide habitat for native birds, insects and other wildlife.

The project will fulfill the service requirement for the Eagle Scout rank, Scouting’s highest honor, which asks candidates to plan and lead work that benefits their community.

Abhi is raising money through a GoFundMe campaign, and he said every donation will go directly toward native plants and project supplies. Residents can contribute through the campaign page

“Beyond the Game”: Three Former Eagles to Share Stories for a Good Cause

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Three former Philadelphia Eagles, Seth Joyner, Brent Celek and Todd Herremans, will headline “Beyond the Game,” a fundraising evening on Nov. 5 at Downingtown High School West.

Hosted by the Downingtown Community Education Foundation in partnership with the Downingtown Area School District, the event will feature the players discussing their time in the N.F.L. and their lives after football. Joyner anchored Eagles defenses at linebacker around the turn of the 1990s, while Celek and Herremans were longtime contributors in the 2000s and 2010s, with Celek part of the 2018 Super Bowl-winning team.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with doors and a concourse marketplace opening, followed by a VIP meet-and-greet at 6:20 p.m. and the main program at 7.

Proceeds benefit programs and opportunities for district students. Sponsors include CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services, KCBA Architects and The Wright Agency. Tickets are available through the foundation.
